Where It All Began

At Joe’s Pizza in Berlin, NJ, we believe great food brings people together. Every pizza, calzone, and sandwich we make is handcrafted with care, using only the freshest ingredients and recipes passed down through generations. From our homemade dough to our homemade made appetizers and signature sauces, every bite is made with passion and love.

My story begins in Carini, Italy, where I was born in 1967. In 1974, my family and I came to America in search of a better life. After years of working in construction, my father, Filippo, opened Original Italian Pizza in Clearfield, Pennsylvania, in 1982 — and that’s where I discovered my true passion for the pizza business.

In 2000, my wife Maria and I opened Joe’s Pizza, Pasta & Subs with our children — Filippo (of Brooklyn Original Pizza), Maria Concetta, and Rosalia. Building our family business from the ground up wasn’t easy, but through hard work, dedication, and a love for authentic Italian cuisine, we made our dream come to life.

Now 25 years later, Joe’s Original Pizza continues to serve the Berlin community and neighboring towns with the same heart, tradition, and family values we started with. I’m proud to offer an authentic Italian experience where every guest feels like part of our family.
